About Us

Once you fall you are more likely to fall again.

  • Falls are a leading disrupter to aging in place and senior independent living
  • Physical therapy reduces trips to urgent care, costly specialist consultations, unnecessary imaging, treatments and prescription medications (including opioids)
  • Some benefits to virtual physical therapy platforms include improve adherence to the program, increased participation from home versus requiring patients to travel for their therapy, reduced readmission rates, and overall healthcare cost savings
  • Those with moderate or greater hearing loss are 5 to 8 times more likely to fall

Mobility and Fall Prevention

Mantaining mobility and balance allow us to have conifdence to pursue the things we love like traveling, hiking, yoga, tennis, golf, shopping, visiting with friends and many more activities.

Falls are a major issue for seniors and a primary cause of the loss of independence for many. Many different factors can influence a person's risk of falling, including vestibular and inner ear problems, balance concerns, muscle weakness, depth perception, joint pain, gait concerns, and other challenges.

All of VPT’s Physical Therapists are certified in their specialty.  This higher level of training ensures that you are seen by the highest qualified specialist.  For Fall Prevention, VPTs clinicians have received qualification in Balance & Vestibular Disorders.
VPT's Licensed Physical Therapists are trained to assess and address these challenges to help you reduce your fall risk.

The Therapists will walk you through a series of safe screening questions and assessments, appropriate for your level of mobility, designed to assess your fall risk level and therapy needs. The Therapists will then develop a treatment plan specific to your needs designed to reduce your fall risk and improve your ability to move safely and independently.
